RESEARCH // Teen Vaping

Study findings suggest that not only do vapor products NOT act as a gateway to teen smoking, but those who do vape would have otherwise been smoking without access to vapor products. Vapor products “may be an important tool for population-level harm reduction.”

The agency has released a list of vaping products allowed to remain on the market during the one-year grace period for products that on the market before Aug. 8, 2016 and for which a Premarket Tobacco Application (PMTA) was submitted.

AROUND THE WORLD // Netherlands

The Dutch government has banned flavored vapor products, a decision made by ignoring real science, instead believing the unproven propaganda that youth vape “because of” flavors, vaping leads to smoking and risks outweigh the benefits.
